Paul Wolters CFP CLU RRC

I have more than 20 years experience working with business owners in and around Edmonton.  I achieved my CFP in 2002, CLU in 2006 and more recently my RRC designation. I believe that it’s important to stay educated and current so my clients are always up to date and informed on what the marketplace can offer them.

The Registered Retirement Consultant is not directly related to employees benefits but after 20 years we now have some of our business owner clients looking for guidance and information to help them transition after successfully selling or passing on their business.

CFP – The Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation is a professional certification mark for financial planners conferred by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards affiliated with Financial Planning Standards Board (FPSB). To receive authorization to use the designation, the candidate must meet education, examination, experience and ethics requirements, and pay an ongoing certification fee.

CLU- The Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designation is Canada’s premier wealth transfer and estate planning designation. The CLU is an advanced designation that expands on the knowledge gained in the CFP® education program with a focus on advanced tax strategies, estate planning and wealth transfer for individuals and business owners.

RRC – Registered Retirement Consultant-   An RRC is equipped with the comprehensive knowledge they need to discuss retirement concepts and strategies with their clients.  How clients plan for retirement, how they use their financial assets during retirement, and how they make financial decisions related to retirement is all part of the process. An RRC can also assist with the estate planning process and the many considerations and strategies involved in developing an estate plan.
